DogStar COVID-19 Update February 25, 2022
As we continue to emerge from the COVID challenges, DogStar's objective continues to be operating in a way that protects our clients' and our instructors' health and safety, while providing the highest quality dog training experience in the area. We will continue the following operating procedures which have been well received the past six months:
- Continue to ensure 6’ social distancing at all times in the facility
- NO CONTACT format (no contact dog/dog, person/dog, person/person)
- Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are available in multiple locations
- Enter via rear/parking lot door and exit via our front door which has successfully eliminated all inadvertent person-to-person contact between classes.
Acton Mask Mandate Rescinded Effective February 24, 2022
Face coverings are no longer required in indoor public spaces within the Town of Acton. The Board, however, strongly advises everyone to follow the Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines that were issued on February 15, 2022 and are available below: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts – Advisory regarding face coverings
Effective February 15, 2022: A fully vaccinated individual should wear a face covering indoors if you have a weakened immune system, or if you are at increased risk for severe disease because of your age or an underlying medical condition, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease or is unvaccinated.
We will continue to operate our two top rated IQAir Health Pro Series air purifiers in the training arena. The IQAir HealthPro Series, manufactured in Switzerland, features HyperHEPA filtration technology for superior airborne particle removal, tested and certified by an independent third-party lab to effectively filter harmful ultrafine particles down to 0.003 microns in size – 100x smaller than what is achieved with ordinary air filtration technology and 10x smaller than a virus.
Please download and read the DogStar Student COVID-19 Guidelines.

DogStar Activity Center
Do you have a new puppy that you want to make sure gets the best possible start before bad habits develop?
Do you want to build the foundation shills in your young dog for future competition in the conformation, obedience or agility rings?
Do you have an adult dog that embarrasses you--pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, not listening to you?
We understand these concerns and will work with you to develop appropriate behaviors in your dog so you can enjoy your dog for the rest of its life. Our trainers own, love and compete with their dogs…several are breeders who have trained and produced dozens of breed Champions, obedience and agility champions, and Therapy dogs. We can help you diagnose and fix problems to get the most out of your dog.
All of our training is based on positive reinforcement to establish solid dog/owner bonds to ensure the best results. Our classes are taught by experienced instructors with limited class sizes to maximize your training experience. We develop ongoing relationships with our clients and help them achieve a rewarding dog ownership experience.
We urge you to review our Classes Tab to find the right obedience, rally, agility, or breed handling class for your dog. We are sure you'll conclude that DogStar Activity Center offers the best value in dog training in the area.
